I absolutely love this place! Everyone is so nice and friendly. They really know how to take care of you. Gina is the best hairstylist I have ever met. She is so genuine and always has your best interests at heart. I had such a terrible haircut before I met her,she worked her magic, and now my hair looks so beautiful. Tony is fantastic with his skin services and my skin has improved so much since I have been to him for treatment. He is a sweetheart. Thanks Tony and Gina...you are the best!

Gina gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever gotten. I get so many compliments too. I have seen more stylists than I can count on 2 hands, and she is by far the best! I will need to make an appointment before the holidays- see you soon!

I really have traveled to The Emerald City. The wizard truly does exist. Three of them actually! Gina, Tony, and Angela. I just happened to run across Gina and Tony at Alfred Angelo Bridal in Roseville. While Gina worked a gorgeous up do on my sweaty, post basketball game, hungry, fidgety nine year old with nothing but bobby pins and a brush Tony worked his charm and reeled in my interest about skin care and appearance. They were both professional and fun. So friendly and knowledge in their respective crafts it was hard not to remember their names when deciding who to use for my wedding day needs. The connection was instantly there. I felt at home with this wonderful salon family of three. Angela worked her magic on my nails. The Bio Sculpt is ingenious. Magnificent and long lasting. Perfect for my big day. Tony the wizard he is put my facial worries to ease with the proper treatments and advice for future care. I was fearless on my wedding day. The perfect nails and great skin, what more could I have asked for? Thats the point. I didnt have to ask for anything. Gina was all over it. From pre-hair care, to make up, to the final result with genuine devotion and sincere efforts to create the look I wanted Gina amazed me. Thanks to her my wedding was a remarkable success. From head to toe she made me shine. Thank you Gina, Angela, and Tony.

After years of disappointment and heartache, when it comes to haircuts, I have finally found a salon I can trust. These guys are the best. They offer current styles, an awesome line of professional products, consultations and recommendations without high pressure sales. In addition to the talent they have shown with my difficult curly hair, my feet have never been happier since I started indulging in the Gel Toe Pedicures. Reasonable prices for exceptional talent!

After just one chair massage with Tony, the pain in my shoulder that I struggled with for weeks was eliminated completely. I was hoping to feel better temporarily, but was actually "fixed"!! I'll definitely be back.

"I love my haircut, the highlights look great, and it's all nice and smooth! It's fairly easy to style - I try not to use the flat iron or curling too much, just on little spots that need it. So THANK YOU SO MUCH for repairing my damaged hair!! =)

"After getting a hair cut I was not happy with elsewhere, I decided to give Gina a try. A friend of mine told me about her, so I went to Gina hoping she could help me. I originally was growing my hair out and the person before cut it pretty short, so that put me back in the grow out stage. Gina was amazing! We chatted about what I liked and disliked about hair styles I had in the past, what I wanted my hair to look like once it did grow out etc.. She then started telling me what she thought was going to look good and how I would be able to style it! Once I understood what she was saying she then worked her magic, I got cut and color and l was so happy when I left the shop.
I get compliments everywhere I go, which I never get.
I am hooked and cant wait to go back to see what she does next for me!

"After many years of salon-hopping and never knowing what I was going to look like - or have to live with! - I found Emerald City through a referral from a friend. I've been going to Emerald City for over 5 years and have never once thought about going anywhere else since my first visit. When I first came to the salon, my hair was a damaged mess from a hi-lighting job I had done somewhere else. Since Angela and Gina have been doing my hair, it looks and feels better than it ever has - the silkiness, shine and color are amazing. Angela and Gina have outstanding knowledge of color, style and products and always keep up-to-date on the latest technology. They only carry the very best products and, yes, they are a little more expensive but last forever because you use much less. I don't think the services are expensive here compared to some other salons I've been to that have cost more and I haven't been satisfied. Everyone at Emerald City is very friendly and down-to-earth and provide you with individualized, personal service. They all have their own private rooms so you're not sitting out in the open in front of a mirror where everyone can see and hear everyone else. I've also had services from Tony who provides the same individual, personal services in skincare and massages. He is very professional and knowledgeable and makes you feel real comfortable. I have never had services from Kim but have seen the before and after results of her work many times on other clients and she also is top-of-the-line. When I leave this salon, I look and feel great - it's like going to therapy. They really do make you feel like you're HOME!!!"

Professional and First Class Sacramento Hair & Beauty Services *****

Wanna find a knowledgable and qualified hairstylist/beautician who also has "the touch"? Prefer a stylist who approaches a cut based on the characteristics of YOUR hair instead of a one-size-fits-all, "comb-up and shear" chain-store cut? Want someone who can actually follow directions and give you the style you want - while managing to carry on lively and interesting conversation (nice bonus) at the same time? Then do right by yourself and roll to Emerald City.
I've been going to see my stylist at Emerald City for years, and that includes commuting up from the Bay Area this last year every three weeks for my cut. I wouldn't do that if the person cutting my hair didn't have mad skills no matter HOW much I liked them (especially considering the way gas costs have been this year). Anyway, I can't say enough about Emerald City. If you want your hair & beauty concerns addressed right at a fair price, go check 'em out.

The staff here are highly trained and are very knowledgable about the services that they offer and love what they do. I always leave happy whether I am getting a hair cut or my eyebrows waxed. A lot of the products are expensive but you get good quality for what you pay. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I have been going to Emerald City for a couple years now, and have had just about everything they offer. I found them by searching for hair extension specialists. When I first saw Angela, my hair was awful. Another hairstylist had messed it up, and I was hesitant to trust a new hairdresser. When I got to Emerald City, I noticed right away how comfortable the atmosphere was. It was cozy and everyone there was extremely nice and helpful. Angela not only fixed my hair, but made it look better than I thought it could look. She really listened to what I wanted. Hair extensions are scary if you don't trust your hairdresser, and she does a fantastic job. She also colors and cuts my hair as well, and I am thrilled each time I leave there. Gina has styled my hair as well, and I am very happy with her work too. I am also a client of Tony's. His facials are fabulous. He really takes the time to examine your skin, and he works around your personal needs. I would never trust another with my skin. He also gives massages, which are absolutely wonderful. The prices are fair, and it's a great experience each time I go to Emerald City, no matter what I'm going there for. All in all, I wouldn't even think about going anywhere else.

I highly recommend Emerald City! My daughter had her hair cut by Gina and she was awesome! She took the time to explain her hair texture, dry hair with unruly curls, and then recommended the cut that would work for her. She was polite and did a precision cut and when she finished, my daughter's hair was amazing....most importantly, my daughter LOVED it. Gina recommended products that would work for her hair too, and I wasn't pressured to buy, she just made recommendations. My daughter is 12 and she explained when and how to use the products to get the same results at home. Its been two months since the cut and with the cut from Gina and the great product line that she's using, my daughter's hair still looks great.

I like Emerald City for a bunch of reasons, but mainly because everyone there is very knowledgeable in their field. I had my colors done the first time I was there - to my surprise I now know why so many outfits I think look good on someone else don't look great on me; it was the wrong color for my tone! I now have a great cut and my hair is super healthy and soft. Also! There is a list of massages, and facials, and trust me on this one - the most gentle wax all done by a cute cute guy....
